| 【Job Summary】 ・The Office of Strategy is a new organization to drive the 10 year strategy plan to become the number one healthcare company in Japan by 2020. There are three teams under the Japan Strategy Office: Strategy Development, Strategy Realization and Operational Excellence (hereafter SROE) and Business Innovation (hereafter BI). The strategy for Japan is currently being developed by the Strategy Development team, incorporating management and employee inputs. The BI team is responsible for developing and executing adjacency strategy and Multi Channel Marketing (hereafter MCM) strategy, working with the Japan CEO and Marketing head. It is also responsible in facilitating various business innovation initiatives which may be driven by global Merck's mandates or by Japan specific agenda. ・The BI team will work as a group of experts, developing a long term implementable strategy and building an execution plan. They will also support relevant divisions to execute the plan. 【Roles & Responsibilities】 ・Work collaboratively in a team environment with colleagues and senior client leadership to develop and orchestrate the execution of MSD’s 10 year long-term strategy plan. ・Assess the current environment, define key objectives, identify success factors, and comprehend constraints related to the organizational challenges. ・Manage complex process improvement projects. ・Structure work engagements, including the development of strategic plans and transformation plans ・Engagements will include profitability analysis, process redesign, operational efficiencies, growth strategy, strategic planning, data collection, qualitative analysis, etc. ・Support the organizational and process transformation and business development within the local market and play a lead role in providing large-scale transformation support. |
